Its height, scenery, and sheer volume of water make the long winding route from Amphoe Mae Sot to Amphoe Umphang well worth the journey. The Thilosu Waterfall is located 164 kilometers from Mae Sot inside the Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is forty-three kilometers from the town of Umphang. |


From Umphang there are two ways to get there; by car or by water. During the month of December to May, automobiles are allowed into the sanctuary. However, during the rest of the year you will have to float down the river to see it.
